As a child, I could be found wandering the woods with a notebook and pen,
filling the pages with poetry as I hummed the songs in my head. A writer and singer from a very young age,
it wasn't until college that I finally picked up a guitar and found the perfect blend of passions.
The
artists who have influenced me are varied, but the thread that ties them is the same. From Bob Dylan
to Cheryl Wheeler, from Joan Baez to the Indigo Girls. For me, the thrill is in the poetry put to melody.
When
not playing music or writing songs, I teach art to young students, helping them learn how to let their creativity flow. Whether
through music or visual arts, I believe that creativity is the key to happiness and health.
And when you can't find
me in the classroom, or sitting at home with my instrument, you will most likely find me out wandering in the woods with a
notebook and pen, filling the pages with poetry as I hum the songs in my head.
